JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - As of the end of September 2017, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) won a new contract worth IDR31.9 trillion, up 40.5 percent compared to IDR22.7 trillion achieved in the same period of the previous year.
"The achievement of a new contract of 78.6 percent of the company's total target during 2017, shows PTPP remains on the right track," said PTPP President Director Tumiyana in a written statement on Monday (10/01/2017).
He explained that the contribution of the new contract derived from PTPP alone amounted to IDR28.1 trillion and its subsidiary IDR3.8 trillion.
Some of the projects that PTPP managed to achieve September were Kulonprogo Yogyakarta Airport amounting to IDR6.5 trillion, Transmart Bali IDR497 Billion, and Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road amounting to IDR423.5 Billion.
Meanwhile, in terms of project owner, the acquisition of new contracts until the end of September 2017 was dominated by SOEs which reached 60.8 percent, followed by private sector 28.9 percent, and government project by 10.2 percent.
With the acquisition of the Yogyakarta Airport project contract in September 2017, the composition of PTPP's new contracts based on type of work is Building (29.6 percent), Ports and Airports (28.5 percent), Engineering Procurement Construction/EPC (22.5 percent), Road and Bridges (16.5 percent), and Irrigation (2.6 percent).
"PTPP's exposure to Government projects is insignificant, while in terms of type of work, the new contracts are highly diversified, so the new contract portfolio is expected to improve the quality of profit and boost the Company's profitability better," said Tumiyana.
