SME Ministry: Indonesia Entrepreneurship Ratio Reaches 3.01 Percent

SOLO, NETRALNEWS.COM - The ratio of entrepreneurs in Indonesia has reached 3.01 percent currently, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga said.

"This ratio is higher compared to 2014 or before President Joko Widodo took office, which was 1.55 percent," Puspayoga said after opened the community empowerment training in Solo Technopark, Saturday (10/21/2017), in Solo.

According to him, the realization of the ratio of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is currently much higher than the standard of entrepreneurial ratios of the international level, ie 2 percent.

"Through this figure, it can be ascertained that SMEs in Indonesia have gone up the class," he said.

The Former Denpasar Mayor said the government has targeted the ratio of entrepreneurs in Indonesia reaches 4 percent by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, he said, a way that can be used to increase the ratio of entrepreneurship in a country is that the government must be present to participate in growing the populist economy.

"One example is to provide training to the community, we also encourage increased production of SMEs in Indonesia through capital assistance," he said.

He claimed one of the financing assistance from the government that successfully helped the business actors, namely the people's business credit (KUR).

"The KUR’s interest rate has decreased, from the initial 22 percent to 9 percent currently. The government is planning to lower the interest rate in the near future," he said.

As for marketing, he appealed to small and medium business actors to increase their sales by "online".

"However, offline sales are also important, both of which must be balanced," he said.
