BANDAR LAMPUNG, NETRALNEWS.COM - In Indonesia there is no province set to be a horticultural cluster. Lampung has land and area that are very possible for the program which is currently being investigated by the central government.
Lampung Provincial Government declared its readiness to become a center of national food crops and horticulture to boost vegetables and fruits.
The Regional Secretary of Lampung Province Sutono said this in Bandarlampung, Sunday (10/22/2017) as reported by Antara.
Sutono said the provincial government collaborates with the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in designing the right position as the center of national food crops and horticulture.
Sutono who is also Chairman of the Board of Regional Leaders of Indonesian Agricultural Extension Workers Association (DPW Perhiptani) of Lampung Province said the provincial government continues to give attention to agricultural actors, including retired extension workers.
Sutono said Lampung Provincial Government will provide space for extension workers and pensioners in contributing ideas to advance agriculture.
"The attention of the provincial government to agricultural extension workers is so high [for them] to work, the operational funding is added. Extension agents are agriculture fighters and [we] pay attention to them, despite being retired, they do not quit and subside in providing dedication," Sutono said.
