JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesian Railways Company, PT KAI, scheduled a trial of railway operations to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on November 25, 2017.
"The trial of the airport train will cover the technical tests for two months. After that it will be fully operated," said KAI President Director Edi Sukmoro at Gambir Station, Jakarta, Monday (11/6/2017).
The trial includes technical aspects such as tracks, signaling and other infrastructure to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
He said KAI continues to work hard in various ways so that the trial on November 25, 2017 can be implemented.
"Of the 10 train sets prepared, eight train sets are ready to be operated in the test, while two more train sets will soon be imported," he said.
In terms of infrastructure, Edi explained the construction of the Airport railway station, Sudirman Station, has entered the final settlement stage, including other stations to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
He also confirmed that the overall progress of the airport railway construction has reached over 95 percent.
"The problem of land acquisition has been completed, only needs physical workmanship," he said.
