Coming to Indonesia, Decathlon Eyes Local and Economical Market

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - In the midst of the weakening of the retail industry, one of the sports equipment retail giants from France, Decathlon, is coming by opening outlets in Indonesia.

This retail embodying the slogan "Making Sports Accessible to Many People" was established in 1976 and is one of the world leading retail giants with more than 1,200 stores operating in over 35 countries.

The presence of Decathlon is also accompanied by efforts to contribute to empower local entrepreneurs in Indonesia. Since 2016 Decathlon has been working with local companies on some of its product items.

But officially Decathlon just started its business in Indonesia in July 2017 through e-commerce activity on the site www.decathlon.co.id.

"In the next 10 years the local content of Indonesia is planned to reach 50 percent with international standards and quality. We believe that the advancement of Indonesian industry can help us to localize some Decathlon products with good quality," said Jeremie Ruppert, CEO of Decathlon Indonesia, Thursday (11/16/2017).

In addition to being able to interact more closely with consumers in Indonesia, the opening of Decathlon Alam Sutera is part of Decathlon's efforts to provide better service to Indonesian customers.

The opening of Decathlon Indonesia outlet is also an important step for Decathlon to provide real experience to its beloved customers in Indonesia.

Now customers in Indonesia are not only able to see the sport equipment of their dreams only through computer monitors or mobile phones, but also can touch, feel and prove their own Decathlon product quality directly.
