JCI Ends Rising 1.2 Percent, Majority Sectors Positive

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) ended up 79.6 points (+1.2 percent) to 6,325.8 in trading closed on Tuesday (4/10/2018). A total of 221 shares rose in price, 149 stocks fell, and 117 stocks did not change in price.

Throughout today, JCI was moving in the range of 6,243 to 6,334.4. Trading volume reached 7.9 billion shares with transaction frequency amounting to 426,047 times and trade value of IDR7.2 trillion. Foreign investors posted a net selling worth IDR10.1 billion in all markets.

The majority of sectoral stock indices rose above one percent. The highest gain was recorded by the financial sector by 1.85 percent, followed by infrastructure sector up 1.73 percent, and mining sector which rose 1.27 percent. The weakening sectors were agribusiness by 1.24 percent and property 0.05 percent.

Triwira Insanlestari (TRIL)'s shares rose the highest (Top Gainers) by 34.6 percent to IDR101 per share, followed by Gihon Telekomunikasi Indonesia (GHON)'s up 24.7 percent to IDR2,190 per share, and Tridomain Performance Materials (TDPM)'s which added 24.5 percent to IDR426 per share.

Meanwhile, stocks in the Top Losers range include Cita Mineral Investindo (CITA)'s down 14.8 percent to IDR660 per share, followed by Indo Straits (PTIS)'s dipping 14.5 percent to IDR366 per share, and Mahaka Radio Integra (MARI)'s losing 14 percent to IDR1,290 per share.
