CENGKARENG, NNC - Garuda Indonesia entered the top 10 global airlines with flights above 15 thousand through On Time Performance (OTP) arrivals during May 2018 of 88.0 percent.
Thus, the airline continues to maintain its achievement as one of the top 10 global airlines with the best On Time Performance.
President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N Mansury revealed that based on report by independent OTP rating firm OAG (Official Airline Guide) Flight View, Garuda Indonesia managed to record OTP arrivals of 88.0 percent during May 2018 with 18,422 flights. Previously, in April 2018 Garuda Indonesia also managed to enter the top 10 global airlines by OTP arrivals with an achievement of 85.1 percent.
As a whole, Garuda Indonesia is the only Indonesian airline listed in top 30 global airlines with the best OTP achievement in May 2018 according to OAG Flight View.
"Garuda Indonesia continuously strives to maintain the achievement of OTP that continues to show positive growth. We certainly continue to make intensive coordination in maintaining this performance, especially by optimizing the operational service line in order to always put forward the commitment of 'Operation Excellence' in providing global airlines flight service standard," said Pahala, in a press release, Sunday (6/10/2018).
He added Garuda Indonesia continues to strengthen the achievement of the timeliness ahead of the operation during peak season in the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran Day). Garuda Indonesia also recorded an overall increase in OTP performance to 90 percent during the period of 2018.
The OTP achievement of Garuda Indonesia in May 2018 increased consistently compared to the first quarter of 2018 at 88 percent.
Pahala added, "Garuda Indonesia is optimistic that the airline's operational services during the peak season of Lebaran will run smoothly. The efforts to improve the operational service, among others, we anticipate with the increase of OTP achievement ahead of this peak season period."
It also continues to conduct intensive coordination with all airport service stakeholders in ensuring smooth operation in order to continue to run conducive ahead of the Lebaran peak season operation period.
