JAKARTA, NNC - Bloomberg announces First State Investments Indonesia (FSII), the investment manager of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia group, to use a buy-side platform from Bloomberg to improve efficiency and optimize operational workflows along with the company's investment growth.

With assets under management (AUM) of more than IDR4.43 trillion as of September 30, 2018, FSII offers various investment product solutions in various asset classes.

Despite large number of capital outflows from developing countries, the total AUM of the mutual fund management industry in Indonesia during the first five months of 2018 has increased by 10 percent to IDR504 trillion, most of which was driven by profits from equity funds, according to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

"Along with Indonesia's financial markets that are increasingly open to global investors, we want to strengthen our capabilities in investment management and risk management by adopting one of the most robust industrial technology platforms," said Hazrina R Dewi, CEO of FSII.

"The buy-side platform from Bloomberg offers workflow solutions that are measurable according to the needs of a fast time to market to help us analyze the structure and manage our diverse cross-asset portfolio."

FSII uses the Bloomberg buy-side platform for all workflows, front to back office, ranging from order management, trading, reporting, compliance to investment operations.

Bloomberg solutions include: Bloomberg's Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) for order management; Execution Management System (EMSX) and Income & Derivatives Execution Management System (TSOX) to carry out the best investment execution; Portfolio and Risk Analytics (PORT) for analyzing portfolio performance, measuring risk, and simulating investment ideas; and Connectivity and Integration Solutions (CIS) to be integrated into the FSII back office system.

"We are proud and pleased that FSII has chosen to work with Bloomberg for the entire workflow of its investment process," said Maggie Ng, Head of ASEAN for Bloomberg.

"We will assist buy-side firms in Indonesia in developing their technology when making investments at home and abroad."
