KUPANG, NNC - The central government has allocated IDR2.5 trillion of Village Funds for fiscal year 2018 to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province.
The fund is for 3,026 villages spread across 21 districts in the island-based province, said Head of NTT Provincial Community Empowerment Office, Flory Mekeng, in Kupang, Thursday (5/10/2018).
"In 2018, the allocation is over IDR2.5 trillion, higher than 2017 which was IDR2.3 trillion, and IDR1.8 trillion in 2016," he said.
"The disbursement of the village funds is done in three phases, the first phase is 20 percent, and the second and third stages each are 40 percent of the total funds allocated for the villages," he said.
Regarding supervision, he said the monitoring of the use of village funds will be conducted by Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
