Very High Tidal Wave Hit Glagah Beach.

JAKARTA, NNC - Head of Data Center, Information and Public Relations of National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho reported the tidal wave hit Glagah Beach located in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (7/25/2018) morning.

The people in the Yogyakarta Coast are appealed to always be aware of the height of the waves in the South Coast of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates the sea wave height in South Coast of DIY on July 25 30 2018 as follows:

July 25: 5.0-7.0 meters

July 26: 3.5-5.0 meters

July 27: 3.0-4.0 meters

July 28: 3.0-5.0 meters

July 29: 3.5-5.0 meters

July 30: 3.0-5.0 meters

"People are advised to be aware of the increase in wind speed and sea wave height, especially for people who are active around the coast. Fishermen who go to sea also tourists who are along the south coast of Yogyakarta also need to be alert to increase the wind speed and sea wave height," said Sutopo quoted from his official Instagram's account, @sutopopurwo, Wednesday (07/25/2018).

To avoid the things that are not desired, the fishermen temporarily are advised not to go to sea. The tourists are advised not to bathe in the sea, until the wave height of the sea back to normal.
