BEKASI, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto has accompanied Indonesia Vice President Maruf Amin to conduct simulation of the Covid-19 vaccination at the Cikarang Community Health Center, Bekasi Regency. The Cikarang Community Health Center is the second location for the Covid-19 vaccination simulation.

Previously, a similar activity was also held at the Tanah Sareal Health Center, Bogor, West Java, which was also attended by Indonesia President Joko Widodo.

"There are several preparations that must be prepared, so that later on the vaccination will run well. These include preparing data, the names to be vaccinated throughout Indonesia, the stages, how the vaccine will be distributed, and the handling of vaccine waste, are all part of all preparations," said the Vice President, as quoted from the Ministry of Health's website, on Thursday (11/19/2020).

In President Joko Widodo's press statement on Wednesday (11/18/2020), the vaccination is planned to start at the end of December 2020 or early 2021.

For this reason, the President advised that the entire process be carried out carefully and must comply with scientific principles, even with the vaccines to be given to the public, all of them must be included in the list recommended by WHO so that their safety and efficacy can be ascertained.

Strengthening the president's statement, the Vice President revealed that the security and legal aspects should be a strong foundation in the implementation of vaccination.

Regarding the permissibility of using the vaccine from MUI, according to the Vice President, it could be because the vaccine is lawful or because it is based on emergencies. For this reason, the Vice President emphasized that the certification or fatwa from the MUI would be issued before the vaccines are distributed.

"Most importantly, MUI as an authority institution will issue a fatwa on this issue," he said.

On the same occasion, Minister of Health Terawan said that his office had established synergies with various stakeholders to make the Covid-19 vaccination successful.

"We prepare everything. What is certain is that the government will continue to coordinate with related parties, so that the OPA, which is the goal of vaccination, can be achieved," said Minister of Health Terawan.

It also ensures that the simulation runs according to the existing protocol. Even though the administration of vaccines is a common thing for public health center personnel, with this new type of vaccine, the flow is made in such a way.

In the vaccination stage, participants will be screened first to find out whether they have comorbid diseases or not. The stage is referred to as anamnase.

If the vaccination participant is indicated to have comorbid diseases (comorbid), they will be directed to the general examination room, then given a referral letter for further referral to the hospital. Meanwhile, healthy participants can receive the first stage of vaccination.

After the injection of the vaccine, the participants did not go home immediately, but were observed for 30 minutes to see if there were any side effects or not.

While waiting, the public health centers' personnel will provide socialization about health protocols and the application of a clean and healthy lifestyle in all walks of life.
