JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Special Staff of the Indonesian Minister of Health for Human Resources Improvement Dr. Mariya Mubarika says her office is holding a COVID-19 Vaccination Preparation Workshop.
The workshop aims to improve the competence of understanding and skills of medical and health workers in relation to the COVID-19 vaccination.
"This preparation certainly adheres to globally applicable standards in immunization, such as WHO standards for the safety and efficacy of vaccines that can be used, as well as permission from BPOM (National Food and Drug Agency)," said Dr. Mariya, as quoted from the Ministry of Health's website on Thursday (11/26/2020).
In the direction of Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto, it is also said that information is dynamic, all medical and health workers who are at the forefront of implementation and communication are to continue paying attention to developing information through the official channels of the Ministry of Health and KPCPEN, so that they can inform their respective environments.
Currently, the Indonesian Ministry of Health is issuing a guide through a guidebook (e-book) titled QUESTION BOOK ABOUT COVID-19 Vaccination.
Even though the COVID-19 vaccination has been carried out, 3M (Wearing a Mask, Keeping Distance, and Washing Hands) practices are still being carried out. For medical personnel and health workers, there is also the 3T (Tracing, Treatment and Test) protocols.
The preparations made by the Ministry of Health are contained in DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF HEALTH OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NUMBER HK.01.07/MENKES/6573/2020 ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE VACCINATION 2019 (COVID-19) TEAM, including:
Forming a COVID-19 Vaccination Implementation Team that is tasked with carrying out the entire series of activities for implementing nationwide COVID-19 Vaccination.
The Implementation Team consists of fields that have their respective duties. The implementation team consists of the Planning Division with the task of conducting a situation analysis, compiling a plan for the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, compiling a budget plan for the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, and providing assistance and coordination with the planning sector at the provincial level.
Furthermore, the Logistics Sector is tasked with compiling a proposal for the need for COVID-19 Vaccines, monitoring the procurement and distribution process for COVID-19, coordinating with national vaccine producers (PT Bio Farma and BPOM) to coordinate in identifying medical waste management capacity, and providing assistance and coordination with the logistics sector at the provincial level.
Then the Implementation Sector is in charge of carrying out COVID-19 Vaccination training for vaccination implementers, carrying out advocacy activities and socializing the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, coordinating and collaborating with cross-programs and cross-sectors, monitoring the preparation process for the implementation of the campaign and the introduction of COVID-19 Vaccination. 19; and provide assistance and coordination with the provincial level implementation sector.
There is also a Communication Division with the task of compiling and reviewing IEC materials for the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, coordinating and collaborating with the media in the context of publicizing COVID-19 Vaccination activities, covering and documenting activities, providing assistance and coordination with the provincial level communication sector, disseminating information about the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, and preparing risk communication.
Another field is the Monitoring and Evaluation Division. This field is tasked with collecting data on the results of COVID-19 Vaccination activities, conducting a rapid assessment of the results of the implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination, monitoring Post-Vaccination Follow-up Events and their handling, compiling reports on monitoring and evaluation of COVID-19 Vaccinations, and providing assistance and coordination with the monitoring and provincial level evaluation.
The Implementation Team is responsible and obliged to submit regular activity reports to the Minister of Health.
"All of this is carried out in parallel because the country is committed to ending the pandemic as quickly as possible in the right and right ways," added Dr. Mariya.
