South Sumatra Health Office Wins MURI Award for Emergency Number Service (kemkes)

PALEMBANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - The South Sumatra Provincial Government has launched the One Ambulance, One Village program. This program was inaugurated Governor of South Sumatra Province H Herman Deru on November 24, 2020, to coincide with the commemoration of the 56th National Health Day.

When met at the inauguration of the Palembang Public Service Mall, the Governor of South Sumatra said that South Sumatra was the first province to form a 119 Public Safety Center (PSC) in all districts/cities, and got a MURI record for this.

The Governor of South Sulawesi also signed an MoU on the integration of PSC 119 with the Indonesian National Police through the South Sumatra application that was responsive, witnessed by the Minister of Bureaucracy and Administrative Reform, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.

Secretary General Oscar Primadi welcomed this collaboration, because this kind of integration makes it very easy to provide services to the community. Previously, almost every agency had its own application.

"This is really a good thing, since South Sumatra uses the 119 number developed by the Ministry of Health. Of course this will help the public," Oscar Primadi said, as quoted from the Ministry of Health's website, on Sunday (11/29/2020).

According to Oscar, the Ministry of Health will always provide support to work together to take advantage of 119 services. This kind of relationship is the most needed, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic like today.

Meanwhile, Lesty Nurainy, Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office, said the integration between PSC 119 and the Police is very much welcomed.

"Police are the protector of the public, so that the utilization of the 119 PSC which has been established in all districts/cities will expand," she said.

In addition, Lesty also added that the PSC 119 service in South Sumatra has been integrated with the Ministry of Health's system. The hope is that the Ministry of Health will continue to provide support, especially for HR training who will be on standby at 119 services.

In the future, this 119 service will also be integrated with PMI and others so that people only need to call one number to get the emergency services needed.
