EAST KAPUAS, NETRALNEWS.COM - The assistants and facilitators of the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH) are proactive in supporting the COVID-19 vaccination for PKH recipients in a number of areas in Indonesia. In Kapuas District, Central Kalimantan, for example, almost all elderly PKH recipients have been vaccinated with the assistance of their PKH facilitators

"There are still thirteen elderly people queuing for the COVID-19 vaccination," said Kahfi, a PKH social assistant for East Kapuas District, who was met during the COVID-19 vaccination at the Anjir Serapat Health Center, East Anjir Mambulau Village, as in a statement received by Netralnews on Friday (06/11/2021).

Through mobilization assistance from PKH facilitators, almost all elderly PKH recipients in East Kapuas District can receive the vaccine. One of the elderly, Abdul Hadi (65), said he was happy to receive mobilization assistance from his facilitator.

"Alhamdulillah, I am happy because the people from PKH escorted me," he said.

This situation is also seen in the Blitar area, East Java. A total of 500 people participated in the vaccination at the Sidodadi Village Office, Garum District, Blitar Regency, on Wednesday (06/09/2021).

Garum District PKH assistant Andini Wibawanti invites PKH recipients to protect each other from the spreading of the COVID-19 virus through mass vaccination. "This is also a practice from module three of the Family Capacity Building Meeting (P2K2)," Andini said.

The vaccination movement carried out in various regions was also utilized by PKH human resources to protect and assist their assistants.

PKH human resources throughout Indonesia have welcomed this movement as part of changing the behavior of beneficiary receivers (KPM) to become more concerned about health.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has written to all provincial and district/municipal Social Service Heads regarding the implementation of COVID-19 Independent Vaccination.

One of the points emphasized in the letter signed by the Director of Family Social Security Rachmat Koesnadi is that the Provincial/Regency/City Social Services can include PKH human resources in the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination, and PKH human resources can access vaccine services independently and free of charge.

"The KPM PKH Elderly Vaccination Movement throughout Indonesia is clear evidence of support in overcoming the pandemic in Indonesia," said Director of Family Social Security at Ministry of Social Affairs Rachmat Koesnadi in a written statement.
