JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Lecturer of Communication Sciences at Universitas Indonesia, Ade Armando, says that if the case of nasty conversation through WhatsApp allegedly committed by Habib Rizieq Shihab and his student Firza Husein is proven true, the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) will be punished by stoning.

According to Ade, this stoning punishment is in accordance with the application of Islamic teaching desired by FPI.

"The problem is that if Rizieq is convicted of adultery and FPI insists on enforcing sharia [law], then Rizieq must be stoned to death," Ade said via Facebook, Saturday (04/29/2017).

Previously, Habib Rizieq's attorney, Sugito Atmo Pawiro, strongly denied the allegation that his client has had a conversation containing pornographic content with Firza. Habib Rizieq is believed to have never had a phone conversation with Firza. "Later the facts will talk," he said, Thursday (04/27).

For information, the investigators of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate at Jakarta Metro Police have scheduled examination against Habib Rizieq Shihab with regard to pornography allegation Tuesday (04/25), at around 10:00 am. However, the concerned cannot fulfill the summon reasoning there were other activities that have been planned in advance.

The investigation of this case is based on a report by Anti-pornography Student Alliance to Jakarta Police at the end of January 2017 concerning alleged dissemination of pornographic conversation on behalf of Habib Rizieq and Firza Husein. (*)
