KONAWE, NNC - The North Konawe Regency of South East Sulawesi’s Population and Family Planning Office noted the number of new family planning participants in the area in 2017 amounted to 3,020 patients or 149.1 percent of the target.
Chief of Population and Family Control Officer, Kasim Pagala said that in 2017 the target of new family planning participants in that area was 3,020 people or exceed the target of 2,025 people.
"The latest data from January to December 2017 shows an extraordinary achievement," said Kasim.
It is said that the various programs undertaken to achieve the target of family planning and family development (KKBPK) has produced significant results.
"The achievement of the targeted participants is due to the team's cohesiveness in socializing and counseling the community about the importance of participating in family planning programs, socialization to remote areas and islands," Kasim Pagala said on Tuesday (1/30/2018).
He also mentioned, implant type contraception is the most preferred, reaching 1,735 people, following injection type contraception with 610 people. "Participants who prefer pills amounted to 407 people, those who prefer condoms were 141 people, and IUD as many as 127 people," said Kasim.
