JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Dr. Yuda Ilhamsyah Yusuf Djemat Sp KK has urged men not to shave against the direction of hair growth. When shaving against the direction of the hair growth, according to Dr. Yuda there will be a negative risk caused by the habit.

One of the effects that can be caused from shaving against the direction of hair growth is microinfection. Therefore it is recommended that Dr. Yuda shave in the direction of the hair and change the shaver regularly.

"There is a rich growth of hair pores, if you shave against the direction instead of wounds arise, microinfection. If the wound, can be sore, bleeding and the risk of infection," said Dr. Yuda to Netralnews recently in Jakarta.

Dr Yuda admitted that he practiced at Bamed Skin Care, there were several cases of male patients who came to his clinic because of infection due to wrong shaving. According to him, this happens because men are less concerned about skin care, one of them is by not changing the shaver.

"There is literature that says that changing shavers once every 3 to 4 months. Basically, if it's covered and rusty, just replace it," said Dr. Yuda.

In addition to shaving in the direction of the hair and replacing the shaver, Dr. Yuda also develops skin care tips and advice for men, namely choosing facial care products according to skin type. For oily skin, it is recommended to use non comedogenic and oil free products, while for sensitive skin it is recommended to use hypoallergenic and fragrance free.

"Clean your face regularly using warm water and an appropriate cleanser. Also use moisturizers on a regular basis to maintain skin hydration so that it is bright and young," added Dr. Yuda.

Skin moisturizer, said Dr. Yuda, can be used shortly after bathing, when the skin is still a little wet. It is also recommended to check the skin regularly and visit a dermatologist if there are spots, lumps, or moles that itch/bleeding/changing colors.

"Also use sunscreen during outdoor activities. It can prevent skin damage due to sunlight. Repeat every 4-5 hours," said Dr. Yuda
