Leicester City Owner’s Helicopter Crashes

The Leicester City's owner's helicopter crashed.

LEICESTER CITY, NNC - Helicopter of Leicester City owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, crashed in the parking area of the team's headquarters, King Power Stadium, Leicester, England, after a 1-1 draw against West Ham United on Saturday (10/27/2018) local.

Various British media reported this, but it is unknown whether Vichai was in the helikotper when the accident occurred.

The helicopter left the field about an hour after the match was over and soon the accident occurred.

The helicopter had just come out of the roof of the stadium before going out of control and fell to the ground and then exploded, said one eyewitness, according to Reuters, which was reported by Antara on Sunday (10/28/2018).

"We are helping the Leicestershire Police and emergency officers who handle the accident that occurred at King Power Stadium," the statement said.

"The club will issue a more complete statement after further information is found," the statement added.

Vichai was so popular with Leicester fans. After he bought the club in 2010 the Foxes successfully defeated giant clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to win the English League trophy in 2016.
