JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Movistar Yamaha rider team, Valentino Rossi has revealed the story of his first salary earned from moto racing. At that time, Rossi made his moto racing debut in the 125cc class in 1996.
Rossi admitted that the salary he got when he first became a Grand Prix racer was pretty good.
Then, what did Rossi buy from his first salary as a professional racer in 1996? Apparently, the Italian rider bought a Subaru racing car.
"I was lucky because i had a lot of money from the 125cc and 250cc races. That's a great moment for motor racing,"Rossi said, as quoted by Crash.
"I think I bought my first car. I bought a Subaru car, because at that time I was 18 years old," said Rossi.
Rossi bought a Subaru Impreza car from his first salary. The former Honda and Ducati rider bought a Subaru Impreza because he idolized Scottish-born rally legend Colin Mcrae.
Rally is one of Rossi's favorite activities outside the arena of MotoGP. He has even won four races at the Rally Monza racing event.
