Setting itself above the usual beach club offerings, Ulu Cliffhouse culinary programme reflects Chef Diego’s ability to integrate culturally diverse flavours through his extensive travels to kitchens all over the world including Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia.

Garnering exceptional culinary experience in coastal cities such as Lisbon, Copenhagen, and Miami, Chef Diego capitalises on the Bukit’s marine produce to create Ulu Cliffhouse’s unique seafood offerings as a kick start to the diverse culinary programme, tempting diners on a gastronomic escape.

While offering an elevated coastal-inspired menu for travellers, the spectacular clifftop oasis also boasts a fun, contemporary cocktail and wine menu spearheaded by Ulu Cliffhouse’s mixologists.

Diego Muñoz, Ulu Cliffhouse’s Consultant Executive Chef is a world-renowned Peruvian free rider chef with roots also in trendy Australian cuisine. Being a concept creator, Chef Diego aims to explore and exchange ideas through his culinary creativity.

Having worked on numerous projects around the world, Chef Diego brought his true passion for travel, surf and culinary creativity to Uluwatu, Bali where he oversees all of Ulu Cliffhouse menus, bringing an assurance of quality and excellence with a nod towards Peruvian and Latin American influences.

Chef Diego has worked at Mugaritz and El Bulli in Spain under the lead of Andoni Luis Aduriz and Ferrán Adriá. He also transformed Bilson’s in Sydney, and subsequently moved to Lima to lead Astrid & Gastón, taking the restaurant to #1 on The Latin American 50 Best Restaurants List, and to #14 on The World's 50 Best Restaurant's List.

Meanwhile, the Ulu Cliffhouse rhe restaurant and the bar, with a capacity of 100 and 70 respectively, house timber and rattan pavilions providing a soft dappled shade against the expansive space and open terrace concept.

Guests can opt to feast on Ulu Cliffhouse’s diverse coastal fare on the tiered cantilevered terraces that flank the cliff edge against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, or unwind by the 25-metre infinity pool where handcrafted furniture layered with soft tertiary colours, neutral umbrellas and deep sun loungers awaits them.
